Tershula Kriya: Thunderbolt of Shiva Meditation
This meditation balances the nervous system. It can help in self-healing and also be used to heal at a distance through your touch and projection. It will generate heat in the body so best done in a cooler room.
A gift that keeps on giving
'Tershula' is the three-pronged trident of Shiva, one of the Hindu Trinity of Gods (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva). Shiva is the destroyer or regenerator, the ultimate deliverer.
This meditation activates the 'thunderbolt of Shiva'. It balances the three Gunas (sattva, rajas, tamas), the energetic qualities that permeate all creation. It also harmonises the 3 mental bodies, the Negative Mind, Positive Mind and Neutral Mind.
Practised on the New Moon, the energies are multiplied. It's a powerful time for new beginnings, planting new seeds and putting new cycles into motion.
